Senator Zamora Wilson,
prime sponsor, requested that the committee postpone indefinitely Senate
Bill 26-071. The bill requires a law enforcement agency to use surveillance
technology only for lawful purposes directly related to public safety,
and establishes other rules concerning surveillance technology. The bill
was first heard in the committee on February 23, 2026, and was laid over
